HEY Everyone! Guess what happened to me today? I got up....sat in the livingroom with my cup O coffee and kept hearing this tiny whistling sound. I thought it was our cat Snoring. I kept hearing it and could not figure out where it was coming from. Finally I realized it was under the couch. I peak under and low and behold my FAT cat Nutmeg was there with 5 fuzzy new babies! She would have them UNDER the couch! FREE KITTENS!!!! They are so so cute and really long haired! Anyway.

Helllloooo! It is a beautiful cold morning here in Indiana! I have already snuck out to the back porch with my coffee and watched the worlds largest woodpecker at the bird feeder! When we moved to this farm we moved about an hour away and it just amazes me how the wild life has changed in a rather small distance. When we lived in Indy I never saw a flying squirrel and rarely saw deer. The birds here are even different. The woodpeckers are like gigantic and we have these little birds with bright blue bodies and white heads that hop all over the place. I have said it before and I will say it again...I LOVE IT HERE! I can't wait for spring though. If my family can't find me I am sure I will be in the greenhouse lol. I am thinking about growing some lavendar and some flowers & veggies. My little boy told me we need a goat so we can make goat milk lavender soap lol! Hmmmmmm.....I wouldnt mind having a few chickens either! Hey this blog so far is so not about Christmas art huh??? Sorry I rambled on. <----I am very good at that!

New art in my Ebay shop & Morning walk

Good Sunday Morning to ya! I already took a long walk in the woods and saw a rabbit, chipmunk, tons of woodpeckers and deer poop lol. Couldnt find the deer! I actually put one of those bright orange hats on so no one would shot me out there! We don't allow people to hunt on the property but some sneak in. It was so beautiful out there this morning. It was sprinkling just a little bit and it is cloudy outside. I couldn't believe how many Woodpeckers I saw out there! I took some bad photos and a very boring home movie while I was walking around out there. Will share a few with you guys! I also wanted to give you my Ebay store link. I put some new items in there last night but need to do more tonight and throughout the week. My santa snowman bracelet sold already so I will make more of them tomorrow!

Ye Ole Teenie Tiny Holiday Shoppe!

What have I been up to this week? Well for some reason I got this idea in my head to make a small room in the basement filled with anitques a little Christmas shop. The room already has an antique dresser, china cabinet and buffet and the walls were already painting a nice deep burgandy. I thought, hey how cute would this be to display my finished art and my holiday goodies and toys I have collected through the years?! So....I worked my buns off for 3 days and I am still not done but I had to show you guys what it looks like so far. I am thrilled! At some point I can actually have some buyers come and see my finished art in a really cool antique shop setting. Next spring I hope to get one of our green houses going and if we get people buying some lavendar I am going to plant and other stuffs just maybe I can get a few to come in and see my....YE OLE TEENIE TINY HOLIDAY SHOP! I have a pretty big collection of vintage toys and I do plan to part with some of them. I also have way too many bratz dolls lol. <--Im just a big kid at heart! So I would like to show you my little shop and let you know that I am listing my buns off this weekend. Mostly in my ebay store and again once I have some items listed I will make a quick post with the link. One wall in this tiny basement room has painted peg board so I can hang my bags and some toys!
I love vintage dolls and the mom dad and baby were mine when I was little. The sunshine family. Anyone remember them? I also have holly hobbies buy my husband has the tv on that toy box..grrrr! LOL

I painted some dough ornaments about 4 yrs ago and made them look German antique style.

My mom is from Germany and German tradition has really worked its way into my art.

Oh Ps...I had to mention this and I hope family that may read this doesnt laugh at me. While I was working in the basement I kept hearing thumps. It almost sounded like boots. My dog Scooby was down there with me and she was growling at the wall. At the same time one of my cats was looking at the same wall like it was looking at a mouse or something. I couldnt see anything. My dog also started to whimper which freaked me out a bit. Then when I went upstairs my kitchen cubbard was wide open. I didnt open it..
A few months back we had a lot of things happen in the house that made me wonder if it could have a ghost. Well nothing happened for about a month but as soon as I started working on that room in the basement I started to notice small things again. When I went to bed last night my bedroom door opened like it did a few months ago. My light also...and I swear it is true turned on. HOW DID THAT HAPPEN>? The bulb was tight? So anyway thought I would mention it and if you think I am a nut thats ok! LOL

Help? How do I get rid of spam comments?

I have been looking through the settings and I cant find how to remove a comment. It seems that lately my blog is getting spammed. I am going to moderate them to keep this from happening but I have no idea how to delete the ones that got through? HElp? LOL

Btw...I cant wait to show you guys some Christmas ornaments I am making. I am so so so happy with how they turned out! Ok..Thanks for your help in advance and have a beautiful day while I finish some goodies and list them in my shops!

Craft goodies for the Christmas shop!

Ok now please read on lol.....

First off I want to say that I am so sorry it has been so long between blog posts. Between getting ready to open my Christmas shop, meetings at the school for my little boy and this stupid virus I got on my pc..things have been nuts. The pc virus is driving me nuts. I got it about a month ago while looking for knitting patterns. My husband downloaded adware and another program but nothing helps. What this virus does is bombs me with pop ups. It takes me 2 tries to load a page and facebook is near impossible for me to even log on to. Needless to say I want this virus gone and I am upset about it! I also wanted to ask that if any of the Halloween winners DID NOT GET your prize please email me your home addy at folkartist@spookyhollow.net. I think I got everyone but not sure!

This week I will be adding lots of Christmas goodies to my Ebay store and a few to my etsy shop. I have new paintings, new paper mache goodies, new Christmas charm bracelets and even toys, handmade ornaments and some vintage items. I am also going to list some crafty items in my store this year like yarn, rusty springs, rusty angel wings things like that. So keep watching my Ebay shop for lots of goodies! Even doll house miniatures! I am cleanning out my closets and listing listing listing lol.

I am sorry I didnt have time to make a real blog yet these past few days! Things have been just nuts at home. I am really really busy making custom orders, shipping, listing new goodies and working on Christmas. I havent even had time for my groups lately and I do feel bad about it! I just wanted to post a fast hello and to let you guys know that I do have a really fun blog post I am going to make here very soon! I have so many goodies to show you and more winners to announce! So..watch for a FUN blog from me not this hurried stuff! I also wanted to thank a lot of my crafty friends for your concern and support for my little boy. He is having some learning issues in Language and being evaluated for autism. This has been a roller coaster battle with schools and teachers since he entered into KG. Frankly I'm tired lol...So again..I so appreciate all the nice emails you guys send. They do help!!! I just love that little guy so very much and I want him to have the best of everything in life. Putting him back a yr to 1st grade about broke my heart but he is doing very well and seems happy.
